preparation details

In this case, the kitchen appliances do all the work, but I want to point out couple of things:

  1. Drain the canned tomatoes well, otherwise the ketchup will become slightly watery.

  2. You have two options for preparing the ketchup:

    • in a food processor - if you prefer more of a rustic-style ketchup

    • in a blender - if you want a smooth texture resembling a store-bought ketchup. I started with the food processor, but I didn't think it was smooth enough, so I transferred it to the blender (I simply used all of the appliances in the kitchen:))

Transfer the ketchup to a glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
